Parks and Recreation
Parks and recreation are key components to making a community a desirable place to live. North Dakota has a variety of recreation opportunities – something for each season of the year! Through the establishment of parks and recreation amenities, we promote conservation and health and wellness within the region. The RRRC works with local county and city park boards to improve facilities by researching and relaying potential grant resources available for capital improvements.
Recent improvement projects include playground and facility upgrades at Stump Lake Park; new RV parks in the cities of Park River and Drayton; participation in the development of the Pembina Gorge State Recreation Master Plan; and playground equipment in the City of Crystal.
