Grant Writing

For some projects, there are grants available to assist with project implementation.  Grants are from a variety of sources including foundations and state and federal governments.  We are continually researching and creating an awareness of grants as funding opportunities are announced.  We offer grant writing services for our clientele. For grant writing, we generally work with a project contact who will provide the necessary information to complete the application materials.  Sometimes, grant announcements provide the encouragement to pursue funds and lead to project development work.

The grant writing checklist can include:

  • Grant making source and decision making process
  • Decision makers
  • Availability of funding and levels of funding
  • Project point of contact
  • Timeline
  • Priorities of the grant program
  • Application requirements
  • Grant requirements
  • Presentation requirements
  • Examples of funded projects
  • Project implementation requirements
  • Reporting requirements

Between 2004 and 2013, the RRRC has assisted its clientele in accessing more than $7 million in grants.
