The RRRC Board of Directors Executive Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, March 18 virtually.
Those in attendance included:
- Board members: Amy Suda, Amie Vasichek and Lizzie Crowston.
- Staff: Dawn Mandt, Brenda Baumann, Lori Estad and Lisa Rotvold
The Executive Committee of Board of Directors:
- Received workforce grant proposal update with Region 4 RWIP grant requests for external marketing and website enhancements approved with total budgets of $309,764, approved $2,733 in matching funds and entering project management contracts with the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation
- Received project and budget update on The Reyleck, construction has begun with walls being framed, communications strategy, need to raise $800,000 to complete capital budget, pending grant proposal.
- Heard update on hiring Lisa Watkins, Consulting by LW, on March 2 as a housing development project manager under the direction of Lisa Rotvold.
- Discussed housing development funding proposal.
- Discussed using defederalized revolving loan fund dollars for interim funding for CHDO operations and Region 4 Housing Rehabilitation project. Approved up to $100,000 to support housing rehabilitation project.
- Postponed State of Region 4 event previously scheduled for April 22.
- Discussed hiring part-time communications staff.
- Reviewed update on ND Rural Catalyst Grant Program.
- Discussed Rural Health Transformation initiative. Awaiting state contracts for assistance in rolling out associated programs and supporting applicants.
